Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was Avayah's first trip up to the cabin. It is quiet a drive to Danbury from Madison. Andy had to do a bid for work on the way, so we had to take a little detour. The little detour ended up making our 6 hour trip into an 8 hour one. Ugh it really was horrible. We had no idea where we were most of the time, Avayah needed to be fed three times (so we had to make many stops), and the poor pups were so restless in their kennel. We made it though!!

Avayah was a pretty good girl with only a few fussy fits. She had her first dip in the river (which she hated!!!), first boat ride and baths in the sink. It is a little difficult to have such a little one up north. We spent most of the time in the cabin since it was sunny during the day and the evenings the mosquitos came out. The only problem with being in the cabin all day is there is no TV. Which is a good thing, we really dont need TV up north! I will make sure to bring magazines next time. :)

It is always nice to have Avayah be with her family. Briana and Jake are so good with her. They are going to be wonderful parents! I can't wait to meet their little guy!

Avayah and her cousin will have so much fun up north when they are older.
