My Mom, Bruce, Haley and Gabriella came to Madison for their spring break this week. My mom came with to my doctors appointment to meet the doctor. We were a tad late due to me getting pulled over on the way. What a nice police officer...he could see that I was hugely pregnant, and uncomfortable, never been pulled over before, and STILL gave me a ticket! Poo! After waiting an hour to see the doctor the nurses manager took us back to get things going. I have somehow gained 3 pounds in 1 week, and have had no appetite. She said it is probably water retention! AHH! My blood pressure seems to be creeping up every week and I am starting to have swollen hands and feet! They didn't say much about it so it must be ok still. If things get worse of my face starts to swell this is a sign of Preeclampsia...we dont want that, even though they would induce right away!
The doctor made her way in and did the normal check up, heart rate, fundal size etc. Welll this was not enough for my mom. She asked if she would check me! Oh course I was totally curious and wanted to know if the baby was showing signs of coming soon, but was not looking forward to the process of getting this information. My doctor has not done this yet, because I have not had any symptoms, no contractions or reasons to see if I am dilated. Well that was the case, I am not dilated, effaced and she has not dropped what so ever! I knew that considering she is still up in my ribs!!!! I am hoping she decides to start making her way down soon I really do not want to be induced at 41 weeks. Did you know that it is a 50% chance that you will have to have a c-section with induction! I did not know that! Well I am off to try and cool down. This 82 degree day is really making me hot!
Any bets on how big she will be? I feel like she is going to be a healthy size!!!!!
